4 Steps for Creating a Brand That is 100% Authentically You

Creating a brand is not easy. There are so many things to consider, from color palettes to copy writing. If you're going to put your name on it, you have to make sure every element is reflective of who you are as an individual and as a business. This is why I've created 4 steps that will help you create a brand that is authentically you.

What is your life purpose & calling? What makes you truly happy? Why are you here? How do you want others to feel when they encounter you? These may be burning questions on your mind and deep down in your heart. The first step to answering these questions is gaining clarity. Create a list of all your skills, passions, hobbies and interests. Then narrow the list down to what you feel you would enjoy doing. Once you have narrowed down the list, decide specifically what products or services you can offer for the business you wish to create.

Your brand is an extension of your very soul. It is the very essence of who you are and what it is that you want to say through your work. It’s the manifestation of your creativity, your authenticity, and ultimately your heart’s desires. Choosing to build a brand requires an incredible amount of trust in your authenticity. This means believing so deeply in yourself that you are willing to put yourself out there completely, knowing fully well that people might not like you, or what you have to offer. Because of this, it's easy to get consumed by the limiting beliefs – negative thoughts that are not true but we tell ourselves they are anyways. These thoughts hold you back from living the life of your dreams and loving yourself unconditionally. To be clear, no one will ever truly love everything about you. Not even your spouse or best friend will agree with everything you say and do. That’s perfectly normal. There is no perfection and there is no reason why we should expect it of anyone, especially ourselves... Make a list of everything you feel may be holding you back. Spend time to really assess what is holding you back from your dreams, goals, and ultimately your dream life.

Being an effective leader isn’t about making quick decisions or acting like a micromanager. An effective leader is someone who encourages others to grow because they are personally invested in the others’ success. They understand that even with their best efforts, there will be obstacles and challenges that can't be overcome without the help of others.

Starting a business can be a powerful undertaking. If you’re like me, you understand that there’s more to it than simply having an idea and getting started. If you want your business to stick, you will want to make sure the energy you put in is not only unique, but has an intention behind it that aligns with what you value most. This will give your business an identity that others will respond to. Creating a business plan with intention looks like; 1. Intentions- What are your working towards for the next 12 months? 2. Financial Goal- Think about what you'd like to achieve with this financial amount. 3. When will you meet these intentions? 4. Value- What will you do to deliver value in exchange for the financial rewards?

Creating a soul-aligned brand is one of the top things you can do for yourself and your business. Embracing your Divine nature and learning how to work from that place allows you to live in a state of feeling good even in the midst of challenges. Your brand needs to resonate with your potential clients and customers. The goal is to be clearly defined and easily discovered by those who are seeking you out online.
